• Flexjet is the first private jet company to launch an Alexa skill
  • Flexjet mobile app for Google Android offers same award-winning features as Flexjet’s iPhone app

CLEVELAND, November 1, 2018 – Flexjet LLC, offering travelers access to the world’s most luxurious fleet of private jets, today became the first private jet travel provider to introduce an Amazon Alexa skill. In addition, Flexjet today launched its mobile app on Google Android™.

“Our objective is continuous innovation to make Flexjet accessible regardless of one’s preferred digital platform,” said Flexjet Chief Technology Officer Greg Johnson. “We want to ensure all possible avenues are available to our Owners and clients to communicate with our world-renowned Owner services team when booking trips and managing their accounts and travel itineraries.”

These developments ensure Flexjet fractional, lease and jet card Owners will be able to access their aircraft or request information using whichever method is most convenient or comfortable for them, be it via mobile device, smart speaker, a direct phone call to their Account Manager or by email. This also paves the way for Flexjet’s European platform, coming in 2019.

Alexa is the cloud-based voice service that powers devices like Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Show, Amazon Tap and more. Using Alexa is as simple as asking a question—just ask, and Alexa will respond instantly.

The Flexjet skill on Amazon Alexa can link with a Flexjet Owner’s account and will relay Owner travel and account information asked of it instantly. In addition, users can access private jet etiquette information as well as other facts. By design, this version of the Alexa skill does not support trip booking.

Using this skill, Flexjet Owners will be able to quickly access updated information about upcoming trips including but not limited to aircraft tail number, FBO name and location, pilot names, departure time and aircraft type.

How the Flexjet skill works:

  • Enable the Amazon Alexa skill on the Alexa app or on the Amazon website
  • Enabling will trigger the Flexjet account login page to open, which will link an Owner’s Flexjet account with their Alexa account
  • Say “Alexa, Launch Flexjet”
  • Ask questions such as, “What is the tail number for my next flight?”, “What FBO am I departing out of?”, “How many passengers can I bring with me?” or “Can I bring my dog on the jet?”

Flexjet also recently launched its app for Android which provides all the features currently available on Flexjet’s award-winning iPhone® app, which launched just a year ago. The app features for these platforms were custom-tailored in response to private jet traveler requests and include the ability to book travel, real-time push notifications, detailed itineraries and jet travel history. Each itinerary includes photos of the Flexjet pilot flying the mission for real-time recognition prior to departure.

Beyond just travel support, Flexjet Owners also can access billing statements and account status updates with their secure log-in credentials through the mobile apps.
