FLEXJET FACTORY STOCK SHOWDOWN FATHER/SON DUO JASON AND TAYLOR DIETSCH READY TO THUNDER INTO BRISTOL

June 4, 2025

BRISTOL, TENN. (June 4, 2025) – Jason Dietsch started racing in the Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown Series in 2018 and over the years the owner of Jason Dietsch Trailer Sales built his racing program at a steady pace. Three weeks ago, at the Gerber Collision and Glass Route 66 Nationals Dietsch accomplished a rare double win capturing the postponed Gatornationals win on Saturday and the Route 66 Nationals win on Sunday in Chicago. On the way to his second win in 24 hours Dietsch had to outrun his son Taylor in the semifinals. Heading into the 12th Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals the father and son combo from Edgerton, Ohio will be back on track and looking to keep the family winning streak alive.

“(The wins) have sunk in a little, but it is about to get real in a couple days when we get to Bristol,” said Jason Dietsch, driver of the Dietsch Trailer Sales Mustang Cobra Jet. “We haven’t raced at Bristol Dragway, but I have been to the circle track a couple times. I think I will be not more relaxed but just more focused on everything because I won’t be focused on getting that first win. I think I will be able to drive better and just have more fun.”

The pressure of balancing a growing trailer business and also racing in the highly competitive Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown class keeps the elder Dietsch focused. The fact that he gets to spend quality time with his son Taylor at the track as well as a solid group competitors and friends makes the hours spent at the shop worth it.

“Racing with Taylor is fun and my daughter races too so the whole family is involved,” said Dietsch. “That is one of the great things about racing is everyone can play a role. Now that I have a couple wins, we are all excited to get to Bristol.”

The Route 66 Nationals was Taylor Dietsch’s break out event. The younger driver was competing in his fourth career Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown race as the No. 2 qualifier. He defeated veteran Joe Welch and Doug Hamp to reach the semifinals before he ran against the hottest driver in the category, his father.

“I have been racing with my dad for a while, but it is a lot of fun to race in factory stock for sure,” said Jason Dietsch. “We have always worked together on the cars. We solve problems together, and communication is pretty good. When we both make runs, we have double the feedback and we can sort things out a lot faster I think.”

In addition to the Dietschs, the Thunder Valley Nationals Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown field will be stacked with tough drivers including Scott Libersher, Hamp and Tony Scott Jr., wheeling Chevrolet COPO Camaros. The 2024 Flexjet Factory Stock world champion Mark Pawuk will be racing for his first win of the season in his Empaco Dodge Challenger. Joining him repping the Dodge Drag Pak will be championship contender Lee Hartman, No. 2 in the points, and Top Fuel driver Josh Hart, who is coming into his own as a rookie in the category racing in the DHDR stable alongside teammate David Davies II. The Dietschs will also be joined by fellow Mustang racers James Betz  and Jonathan Allegrucci, the Las Vegas Four-Wide Nationals winner.

The Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown Series has reached the halfway point of the season with Jason Dietsch sitting atop the point standings followed by Hartman, Pawuk, Allegrucci and Hamp. Roughly three rounds of racing separate the top four drivers so an early exit on race day could shuffle the point standings.

This weekend the class will receive three qualifying runs allowing each team to get data and fine-tune their race cars.
