One of the biggest perks of flying privately is enjoying the flexibility and freedom you will not find with commercial airline luggage restrictions. Private jet luggage capacity, as traditionally presented in cubic feet, can be hard to visualize and plan around. For a starting point of reference, a Flexjet Phenom 300 has the least amount of luggage capacity of any aircraft within our fleet, but at 76ft3 can hold up to 12 carry-on-sized (soft-sided) rollaboard suitcases, six sets of golf clubs and six pairs of skis.
By no means does this mean what you bring along needs to be as uniform as luggage like the rollaboards so common in an airline environment, but they do provide your mind’s eye something to work from. It is also important to compare passenger cabin capacity to the actual number of people accompanying you on your flight to understand how much luggage space each of your companions can use.

Also, do not neglect to consider the luggage capacities of your ground transportation. A Cadillac Escalade for instance – a popular airport transfer vehicle amongst our aircraft Owners – has about 121 ft3 of luggage capacity with the seats folded down.
