FLEXJET 2024 EVENTS KICK OFF IN HIGH STYLE IN SUNNY ST. MORITZ

Flexjet aircraft Owners enjoy a number of exclusive invitations throughout the year, and the first in the 2024 European calendar certainly set the bar high, over the last weekend in January in St. Moritz.
We were delighted that so many Owners could join us at the unique and spectacular Snow Polo World Cup – the 39th edition of the competition and the third time that Flexjet has been an official sponsor, once again headlining one of the six world-class polo teams battling it out for the trophy against the stunning backdrop of Switzerland’s Engadine Valley.
Aircraft Owners and their guests were able to enjoy the best seats in the house at the stunning polo field set upon the frozen lake of St. Moritz, alongside dedicated, exquisite hospitality from our team over the three-day event.
DRAMA & SUNSHINE ON THE POLO FIELD
This year, despite a sustained period of low temperatures leading up to the competition, the glamorous and iconic mountain resort was bathed in unseasonably warm sunshine for the event itself – glorious for spectators but making the playing surface of the polo ground difficult to control.
With the welfare of the elite players and polo ponies paramount, the organisers made the decision to change the format, to schedule a series of highly skilled penalty shootouts, rather than the usual four chukka matches. While these were shorter in duration, there was certainly no lack of excitement, as each team member took turns to strike, first from 30 yards, then again from the even more challenging distance of 50 yards.
Over the three days each team battled it out against the others, with Team Flexjet comprised of captain Marc Ganzi, alongside Santos Bollini, Martín Jauregui and Fred Mannix. Fighting hard and playing with passion and commitment, their prowess – along with that of the other five elite teams – provided plenty of thrills for the capacity crowd of over 25,000, who enjoyed the glittering spectacle under blue skies and sparkling sunshine.

In between matches and at the end of each day, Flexjet guests and other elite spectators were welcomed into the delightful atmosphere of the VIP tent, with Flexjet’s European team on hand to welcome guests to a dedicated lounge area, and to offer champagne, coffee, and a delicious lunch paired with fine wines.
After the sun went down, they were also invited to join our team for private, curated dinners in some of St. Moritz’s most exclusive venues, including the famous nightspot Dracula; a private dining experience with Michelin-starred Chef Mauro Colagreco; and the official Snow Polo World Cup gala dinner.
At the end of three action-packed days and nights, our guests were able to enjoy some exceptional rest and relaxation at Flexjet partner hotels, The Kulm and The Grand Hotel Kronenhof.
FLOWN TO THE HEART OF THE ACTION
Flexjet’s world-class European fleet featuring the super-midsize Praetor 600 and ultra-long-range Gulfstream G650 was certainly kept busy over the course of the event.
