Formula 1 racing was inaugurated in 1950 and its origins can be traced back to Europe’s legendary prewar Grand Prix races. Today, Formula 1 is the top class for open-wheel, single-seater formula racecars and it boasts the world’s fastest open-road racecars.
The current teams are sponsored by some of the most renowned automotive brands such as Ferrari, Mercedes, McLaren, Alfa Romeo, BMW and others. The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the governing body of motorsports worldwide, sanctions the championship series.
The annual race is held on a 3.36-mile semipermanent track at the Autodrome on the grounds of Miami’s famed Hard Rock Stadium, home to the NFL’s Miami Dolphins. The racecourse features 19 turns and three straightaways that enable drivers to reach 200 MPH.
This year, Flexjet is set to host aircraft Owners and clients in the exclusive shaded and open-air Start/Finish Suites.
