THE EMORY & FLEXJET LAUNCH SKY-HIGH LUXURY LONDON FIRST:INCLUSIVE GUEST ARRIVALS BY HELICOPTER
July 22, 2024
LONDON, 22nd July 2024 – Private aviation leader Flexjet, and London’s most exclusive new hotel, The Emory, have today announced a bespoke collaboration, designed to offer guests the ultimate airborne hotel arrival experience, included in their stay.
As London’s first all-suite hotel, The Emory heralds a new standard of design and discreet ‘quiet’ luxury and the partnership with Flexjet is the very first of its kind for a London hotel, with seamless and complimentary helicopter arrival transfers from the capital’s top private jet terminals built into the suite experience.
Guests of The Emory arriving into London via private jet at Farnborough, Biggin Hill, Luton or Stansted airports, will be whisked by Flexjet helicopter directly to The London Heliport at Battersea, where they will be collected by The Emory house car and taken straight to the hotel.
Newly opened in May this year, The Emory – part of Maybourne Hotel Collection which also includes Claridge’s, The Connaught and The Berkeley – boasts 61 extraordinary suites over nine floors, including a spectacular 300 sqm wraparound glass penthouse. Setting a new standard of service for the capital, all stays include exclusive access to The Emory’s private rooftop Bar 33 and The Emory Cigar Merchants; complimentary membership to the Surrenne wellbeing and longevity Club; personalised services provided by their Emory Assistant; use of The Emory house car; and now, a private Flexjet helicopter transfer for the ultimate discreet luxury arrival experience.
Flexjet’s leading UK helicopter fleet forms part of the company’s significant, global private aviation operation, numbering a total of 300 prestigious jets and helicopters. Distinctive for its world-class aircraft selection and custom-designed LXi Cabin Collection interiors, Flexjet is also renowned for an approach to personalised service and luxury hospitality that is unrivalled in its industry. The new collaboration with The Emory adds to its existing five-year partnership with The Maybourne Group, which offers exclusive benefits to Flexjet customers at selected properties in the portfolio.
The Flexjet helicopter fleet features the Sikorsky S-76, one of the most respected and longest established helicopters, with a heritage of more than 40 years and 7.5 million hours of safe flight. These private helicopters are fitted out with a seating configuration for up to eight passengers plus two pilots and can fly at 155 knots per hour with a range of 300 nautical miles.
Commenting on the collaboration, Roland Fasel, Group Chief Operating Officer at Maybourne said: “At The Emory, we are always striving to see how we can set new standards in service style, and this collaboration with Flexjet allows our guests the ultimate transfer in the capital.”
Mike Silvestro, co-CEO of Flexjet added: “We are delighted to be working with The Emory to offer this unique advantage to their guests, enhancing what is already one of London’s most exceptional hotel experiences. Our collaboration provides not only seamless, door-to-door transport for private travellers staying at The Emory – saving over an hour of driving time – but also a memorable arrival over the London skyline.”
