Combining the glamour of Hollywood with big business, world-class restaurants and epic beach and mountain landscapes, Los Angeles has a larger-than-life culture that celebrates extravagance in every respect.

For designer shopping, LA is arguably one of the best places in the world, with the iconic Rodeo Drive home to many of the world’s most elite brands, along with luxury retail areas in other parts of the city such as Melrose Avenue and Robertson Boulevard. There’s also a dazzling choice of fine dining options, with no less than 20 Michelin-starred restaurants across the city, offering cuisine from all corners of the globe.

When it comes to hotels, the Waldorf Astoria Beverley Hills offers the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle, in the heart of Beverly Hills. A true escape in Muscat

Known as the pearl of Arabia, Oman offers a serene escape from reality. Steeped in beauty, history and atmosphere, the country is one of the most developed and stable in the Middle East.

The capital Muscat dates back over 5,000 years, and traditional Islamic architecture resonates with old world splendour. Nestled in its labyrinthine streets is the oldest market in the world – the traditional Muttrah Souk – a treasure trove of Bedouin jewellery, traditional Omani daggers, antiques and a wide range of spices.

Oman’s natural treasures are plentiful too, with the Ras al-Jinz Nature Reserve home to nesting turtles; wide deserts and other-worldly mountains including the pinnacle Jebel Shams; and the stunning Gulf of Oman, which offers a wide range of water sports and beachlife.
