OUR APPROACH TO
SUSTAINABILITY IN AVIATION
FROM CARBON OFFSETTING TO MEANINGFUL REDUCTIONS

A PROACTIVE COMMITMENT
Every flight hour flown by a Flexjet aircraft has its carbon offset at a minimum of 100%— and 300% in Europe. Verified carbon emission offsetting credits are supporting innovative clean energy projects in nations ranging from the U.S. to the Congo to India. Beyond carbon offsetting, we are invested in emission reductions through the use of new technologies.
Today, this can best be achieved via the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). Flexjet continues to actively push for the proliferation of SAF through collaboration with green crude producers and providers. Sustained efforts and research for the promise of cleaner, more energy conscious future.
VERIFIED CARBON CREDITS
100% CO₂ OFFSET INCLUDED
GLOBAL PROJECT PORTFOLIO
APPLIES TO ALL FLEXJET AIRCRAFT

By 2030, we have committed to 12% of our fleet’s annual fuel consumption coming from SAF.
Flexjet partners with 4AIR, the only rating system focused on comprehensive sustainability in private aviation.
All verified credits to offset the emissions of aircraft operated by or for Flexjet are provided at no additional expense to our customers.
Our sister companies offset 300% of carbon and non-carbon emissions including water vapor, aerosol sulphate and nitrous oxides.
OPT TO GO FURTHER IN YOUR PURSUIT
Flexjet is the only private fractional operator in the U.S. to include a carbon emissions offset at no additional expense on every flight, to any destination. For those interested in addressing the impacts of their flying, our program offers multiple levels of participation. You may even opt to reduce your emissions through the use of SAF or accelerate the pace of change through support of the Aviation Climate Fund.
The Flexjet sustainability program is the result of our partnership with 4AIR, a global leader in comprehensive sustainability programs and verifications specific to the unique needs of aviation.

LEVEL ONE: BRONZE
100% CO₂ OFFSET (INCLUDED AT NO COST)
The first step in approaching long-term sustainability involves neutralizing carbon dioxide (CO₂) output. By offsetting 100 percent of the carbon emissions generated by your aircraft using verified carbon credits, you are offsetting damaging airborne pollutants.

LEVEL TWO: SILVER
COMPREHENSIVE EMISSIONS OFFSET
Carbon dioxide (CO₂) represents less than half of the climate-impacting emissions generated by the average private aircraft. Go beyond carbon neutral to account for non-CO₂-based warming pollutants by offsetting total emissions by 300 percent.

LEVEL THREE: GOLD
EMISSIONS REDUCTION/SAF
While offsetting is a vital part of the solution, emissions reductions accelerate the type of change necessary to meet the industry’s 2050 goals. Through innovations like Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), we can drastically cut emissions by replacing the source of their creation.

LEVEL FOUR: PLATINUM
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT
To achieve true net-zero emissions in air travel, major breakthroughs still need to be developed. By contributing to the Aviation Climate Fund, you are directly supporting the creation of technologies aimed at eliminating aircraft emissions.
CALCULATE YOUR CARBON FOOTPRINT
*Please note that these are approximations and that all speed/ranges are affected by weather, passenger count, runway length, and prevailing winds. Carbon emissions are based on carbon intensity for jet fuel and reductions for sustainable aviation fuel source: International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) The methodology from ICAO to calculate the carbon dioxide emissions based on fuel burn as well as reductions from sustainable aviation fuel based on most used feedstock today. The methodology applies the industry data and has been applied as an estimate for calculations.
INNOVATIVE PROJECT PORTFOLIO
All carbon credits and reduction contributions made in part of Flexjet’s sustainability program are verified through the most respected and international leading bodies that issue and register credits, such as the Verified Carbon Registry (VERRA), Climate Action Reserve and Gold Standard.
