Jonathan Allegrucci Clinches First Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown World Championship in St. Louis

October 4, 2026

ST. LOUIS (October 4, 2026) --- After a dominant season that saw him race to five consecutive final rounds, six overall and garner three national event wins, Jonathan Allegrucci of Scott Township, Pa., won his first Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown Series world championship today. His closest pursuer, Raymond Nash, was mathematically eliminated when Allegrucci advanced to the final round of the NAPA NHRA Midwest Nationals today. Allegrucci was crowned champion after he drove his Ford Mustang Cobra Jet off the top end of World Wide Technology Raceway outside of St. Louis after his semifinal win over Doug Duell.

“This has been a dream season,” said Allegrucci, to Amanda Busick with FOX. “I have to thank Kim Shirley and Kim Shirley Racing. He is the king. My crew and family have been behind me all season. This was a tough battle with Raymond Nash, Scott Libersher and the rest of the Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown class. Thank you Flexjet for sponsoring this class.”

Allegrucci raced to the championship on the strength of three national event wins beginning with his Four-Wide Nationals win at Zmax Dragway during the second race of the season. Following his four-wide win, Allegrucci dominated the Chicago and Bristol Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown Series national events and widened his lead on the rest of the Chevrolet, Dodge and Ford competitors. A five-race final round streak was capped with two runner-up finishes at Norwalk, Ohio and the prestigious U.S. Nationals outside of Indianapolis.

An early exit at the inaugural NHRA Great Lakes Nationals in Martin, Mich., opened the door for Nash to close the gap. Ultimately, the point lead was too much to overcome and Allegrucci celebrated his championship with family and friends following the Saturday racing action at the NAPA Midwest Nationals.

Nash and Scott Libersher, the U.S. Nationals winner, are in a tight race for second place in the Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown Series. David Janac and David Davies II round out the top five heading to the final race of the season.
