LONDON – September 10, 2026 – Flexjet, the global leader in luxury private aviation, today officially opened its new private terminal at the UK’s Farnborough Airport, creating significant benefits for Flexjet aircraft Owners and guests, as well as marking a major milestone in its global expansion.
Costing $34 million, the expansive 2,098m2 Flexjet terminal is the first of its kind in Europe and situated at Farnborough Airport – the primary private aviation gateway for London and Europe’s leading airport for premium air travel connectivity.
Situated in a new ramp side building, separate to the airport’s existing main terminal, the facility is hosted by Flexjet staff and provides seamless ground-to-air private hospitality exclusively for Flexjet passengers, before or after boarding one of the company’s ultramodern fleet of 350+ private jets and helicopters. This offers a more personal ‘home from home’ environment for Flexjet’s aircraft Owners compared to traditional FBO (Fixed Based Operator) terminal or lounge services at airports, which are open to all private or general aviation flyers.

The new opening adds to Flexjet’s growing network of nine private terminals in the United States already established or under development. With Farnborough serving London and an established Flexjet terminal at Teterboro Airport - the busiest for private aviation globally serving New York City - Flexjet aircraft Owners now benefit from private gateways to the world’s biggest financial capitals. In addition to its terminals, Flexjet’s global infrastructure includes operations, sales and maintenance across more than 25 locations.

Two years on from the start of construction, the Farnborough terminal opening was marked by a ceremonial event for VIP guests and stakeholders hosted by Flexjet Chairman Kenn Ricci, who said: “This opening establishes one of the most significant branded luxury environments in private aviation and is a defining moment in Flexjet’s global expansion. It is our most ambitious infrastructure completion to date, beyond our North American headquarters.
“A Flexjet flight is already an unrivalled experience, with world-class aircraft, truly artisan interiors and five-star cabin hospitality that raise the bar in our industry. But this remarkable facility is a testament to how aircraft ownership with Flexjet extends far beyond the cabin, unlocking a lifestyle defined by exceptional convenience, effortless access and enriching experiences the world over.”

The terminal’s contemporary interior, led by Carver Hain Art + Design, puts modern luxury at the forefront, with private spaces and features including:
- The Flexjet Gulfstream G700 Fuselage Lounge. A full-size recreation of the company’s flagship ultra-long-range cabin, fitted with a LXI Cabin Collection™ interior including a private master bedroom suite.
- The Owners Bar & Lounge, situated in the centre of the terminal with stunning floor-to-ceiling views of the airfield, offering a bar menu including signature cocktails.
- A bespoke sculpture ‘Aero’, by renowned British Canadian artist, David Spriggs. Passengers are welcomed into the lobby by this unique commissioned art piece, featuring swirling cloud-like patterns depicting ‘wingtip vortices’, essential to keeping an aircraft aloft.
- Private meeting spaces, accessible only to Flexjet owners and their guests.
- Dedicated security screening and immigration, provided by Farnborough Airport.
- A new state-of-the-art Tactical Control Centre and European headquarters for Flexjet’s operations and support staff on the upper floor.
- An expanded Red Label Academy, a finishing school-style training centre for Flexjet’s near-300 global Cabin Servers.
- Environmental considerations incorporated in the construction include 138 solar panels forecast to generate approximately 37,848 kWh/annum; and a Syphonic Drainage system which collects and recycles rainwater to be re-used internally.

The opening is a visual representation of Flexjet’s continued commitment to elevating the private aviation experience, including its increasing collaboration with other luxury brands. In July 2025, the luxury private aviation leader announced an historic $800m investment from a consortium led by L. Catterton, an affiliate of LVMH. That momentum accelerated in July 2026, as Flexjet became the Official Private Aviation Supplier of Formula 1®.
Other exclusive collaborations were showcased at today’s event, with Marchesi Antinori and Château Cheval Blanc each providing a selection of renowned wines from the terminal’s Flexjet Cellar offering; and longstanding partner Maybourne showcasing The Connaught cuisine and bringing The Connaught Bar Martini experience to the launch occasion.
In addition to the new terminal building, Flexjet has also recently opened a new 3530m² Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) hangar facility on the Farnborough Airport site. This provides dedicated maintenance for Flexjet’s global fleet, optimising dispatch reliability and adds to its 1,500+ global maintenance team members based in 15 destinations worldwide - the largest in-house MRO network in private aviation.
Kenn Ricci continued: “From our growing network of Flexjet exclusive private terminals to our in-house maintenance capabilities, to private helicopters, curated events, the FXLUXE travel programme and exclusive partnerships, the Flexjet experience - and the dedicated ecosystem that we are investing in to support it - continues to push the boundaries in luxury experiences today.”
