WINTER OLYMPICS: SEAMLESS MILAN-CORTINA 2026 PRIVATE JET TRAVEL
December 22, 2025
This winter, all eyes will be on northern Italy as the country makes final preparations to stage the spectacular Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics 2026.
We are delighted to be flying many Flexjet aircraft Owners into Italy for the Games in February, which are unique in being the first Winter Olympics officially co-hosted by two regions, featuring a geographically expansive format.
Indeed, the two main clusters of Olympic venues are 400km apart in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo in the Dolomites mountain range, with further events taking place in the resorts of Valtellina and Val di Fiemme and the Closing Ceremony staged in the city of Verona.
Flexjet is ideally placed to support seamless Winter Olympics travel, ensuring VIPs, teams, and other elite attendees can move effortlessly in and out of Italy and between clusters – minimising travel complications and providing a truly memorable travel and Winter Games experience.
Discover how to reach every Olympic venue, Flexjet style.

MILAN
The cosmopolitan city of Milan will be a major focus for Winter Games excitement, including Ice Hockey, Speed Skating, Figure Skating and the Opening Ceremony at Milano San Siro Olympic Stadium.
Milan Linate (LIML) is Flexjet’s recommended airport for private aviation and home to our comprehensive European in-house maintenance provision. Situated just to the east of the city centre, it is within 30 minutes’ drive of the Olympic venues. Alternatives are Milan Malpensa (LIMC) to the west, or Orio al Serio (LIME) close to Bergamo.
CORTINA D’AMPEZZO
Surrounded by the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Dolomites mountain range, the stylish winter resort of Cortina will play home to the Women’s Alpine Skiing, Bobsled, Luge, Skeleton, Curling and Biathlon events.
Most air traffic will arrive via Venice Marco Polo Airport (LIPZ), around two hours’ drive away to the south. However, a slightly closer option is the smaller airport of Bolzano (LIPB) which is restricted but accessible to some private aircraft, including the Flexjet fleet. Venice Treviso Airport (LIPH) and Innsbruck Airport (LOWI) across the border in Austria are also viable alternatives.
VALTELLINA
Situated in Italy’s Lombardy region close to the Swiss border, the charming hot springs resort of Valtellina will host the Men’s Alpine Skiing, Ski Mountaineering, Snowboard, and Freestyle Skiing events.
The dedicated private airport of Samedan (LSZS) in St. Moritz, Switzerland, is the closest airport to Valtellina at under two hours’ drive away. Milan Linate (LIML) is the next nearest option and around three hours’ drive – or slightly faster by train.
VAL DI FIEMME
The picturesque valley of Val di Fiemme in the Trentino region is the chosen location for the Cross-Country Skiing, Nordic Combined and Ski Jumping events, set against the backdrop of the stunning Dolomites mountains.
The regional airport of Bolzano (LIPB) is less than an hour’s drive from the Olympic venues. Further afield are Innsbruck Airport (LOWI) and Venice Marco Polo Airport (LIPZ) – both just over two hours away.
VERONA
The spectacular Closing Ceremony of the Winter Games will be staged in the city of Verona, at the historic Arena di Verona amphitheatre, built in 30 AD.
Verona Airport (LIPX) is just to the southwest of the city and only a few minutes’ drive from the Arena.
