FLEXJET PILOTS
DEDICATED TO THEIR AIRCRAFT, DEVOTED TO YOU
PROVEN & POISED
An exceptional group of aviators, with more than 30% having been with us for 10+ years, Flexjet pilots meet the highest levels of professionalism and expertise. Each is type-rated in their assigned aircraft and trained to perform safely in all terrains, environments and situations. Far exceeding industry standards, Flexjet Captains average over 10,000 hours of flight time, are the only group in the fractional industry that must hold an unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ATP) and a first-class medical certificate.
ALWAYS PRESENT. ALWAYS PROACTIVE.
Flexjet’s unique combination of simulator and aircraft training ensures our pilots are the best trained in the industry. The training curriculum includes three pilot training exercises each year, which is 300% greater than FAA requirements. First Officers are trained to Captain standards and undergo Recurrent Simulator Training and FAA Check-Rides every six months. No other fractional operator measures up to these exceedingly high criteria.
To ensure performance and conformance at this level, our pilots are taught by a combination of in-house and outside flight instructors who average over 20 years of experience. Each in-house flight instructor is line qualified in their assigned aircraft, meaning they rotate from flight training to line flying every other month.
This process leverages the highest level of ‘real world’ operating experience and further cultivates a culture of safety and comradery among Flexjet pilots. Additionally, our proprietary training oversight program allows us to effectively monitor and maintain the Flexjet safety standard.
UPHOLDING OUR STANDING
AS A PREMIER HOME FOR TOP AVIATORS
Highest Earning
In an era when top aviators are more in-demand than ever before, Flexjet pilots stand as the highest earning in fractional private jet travel.
A Pilot-First Culture
From our Chairman who served as a commercial airline and charter pilot early in his career, on down throughout the organization, Flexjet is led by those who have walked in a pilot’s shoes and think like pilots.
The Calm of a Non-Union Environment
Flexjet pilots have a direct working relationship with our company, forgoing the industry standard of representation by a union intermediary. At Flexjet, one collective focus drives us all opposed to the industry norm of siloed collective bargaining – providing our aircraft Owners with the finest experience in premium private jet travel.
Attracting Experience
As other providers have sacrificed minimum flight time standards to attract experienced talent in a tight pilot labor market, the average combined time of Flexjet new hires exceeds 3,400 hours.

HELICOPTER PILOTS
Often joining our team with backgrounds in military, logistical and rescue operations, Flexjet helicopter pilots are held to some of the highest standards in aviation. All Flexjet helicopter pilots are IFR qualified and receive bi-annual check rides.
We empower our helicopter pilots to take full control of mission status based on the weather conditions, logistical windows or operational considerations often present in a helicopter travel environment. If their comfort and standards don’t align with circumstances, they are emboldened to use only one criterion to decide to fly or not, and that is safety. Their expertise and experience, coupled with rigorous Flexjet safety standards and best practices give us full confidence in making your mission successful.
